A couple of months ago, I was sitting accross the table from my friend, Lisa, who said, " It really is amazing, how connected we are." At the time, I thought that she was referring to she and I, as a newly forming friendship, and our magical connection. But then I realized that she was actually referring to ALL of us as a whole human family.
We were sitting in a Mexican restaurant, and she was gazing past me, at a table of three guys whom we'd never met. " Try it." she said, smiling. "Stare at somebody, anybody, with the intention of connecting, and within less than a minute, and they'll look right at you. It's as if they can't help but look up and meet your gaze."
What do y'all think?
I've definately experienced this level of connection with "strangers". How about you?

:) She's right! I've done this before. It's just like when you're looking in a certain direction but you can feel somebody from behind looking at you, or appraoching you. Your energy and theirs, coming together.
Amazing.
Experiencing that connection is even more apparent than we realize, and it is something that we’ve all experienced in the past. Think about when you’ve been alone in a room and then all of a sudden something changes. A sense that you aren’t alone. You turn around and realize someone has entered the room soundlessly. That sense is living proof of our connection…
A friend of mine who is a shaman told me about a time when he had taken some mushrooms in a visionquest. After a time, he began to see a red string of energy that came from him and connected to everything around him. Physical proof on another plane of perception!
In my experience as an empath, I am all too aware of the connection. Living in Southern California, in a culture that tends to construct as many walls as there are people, it’s not difficult to fall into that same trap for the sake of self-preservation. It’s not difficult for me to sense the passing energies as they walk by, or sit across the room from you in a coffee house. It’s not quite like hearing voices, but many times it is just as intimate. I wouldn’t give up the gift of perception, but I will admit that at times, being open to so much at once can be rather daunting.

WE ARE ALL ONE!!
And as daunting as it is to be a conductor /amplifier for the hidden communications of our connectedness, I'm sure I'd be pretty lost without my innate gift of discernment. I rely on it for guidance a few thousand time a day…. at least. : )
